Mississippi Library Association is 100 years old this year.
Mississippi Library Association is 100 years old this year. For our National Library Week publications we are seeking historic photographs of Mississippi library buildings, library interiors, old librarians (that would be me!), library association officers, bookmobiles, librarians, etc.
If you have photographs that are not copyrighted (pre-1927 is always safe) and have a resolution of at least 300 dpi please scan and send to me (ashands@lowndes.lib.ms.us) . Be sure to state what the photograph is, identify any people in the photograph, date, and any other information that will help us use the photograph. Be sure to tell us where the photo came from so we can give credit.
We hope to use more than one photograph, so lots to choose from would be wonderful. If you have historic Mississippi library photographs to share please send them to me (ashands@lowndes.lib.ms.us) by close of business, Feb. 6.
Thanks,
Alice Shands, Chair
MLA National Library Week Committee
