MLA Midwinter / Library Advocacy Day

MLA Midwinter/Library Advocacy Day is an opportunity for Librarians from around the state to meet with legislators. It is very important for librarians, Friends and other interested individuals across the state to touch base with each of the legislators who represent them in Jackson. The local level (grass roots) contact is one of the most important and significant “Keys” on behalf of the success of overall library support.

MLA Midwinter also provides an opportunity for our organization to meet, informally, at a time in addition to our Annual Conference. Please make use of our MLA Midwinter/Library Advocacy Day to meet with your MLA Sections, Roundtables and Committees. Chairs should set up meetings at MLA Midwinter to have the opportunity to meet to plan their programs for the MLA Conference.
