Appointed initially in 2006, Dr. Ray will continue working with the Planning Commission to oversee matters that are related to land use in Bolivar County. Dr. Ray participated in the development and preparation of the first seminal document of land use guidelines for Bolivar County in 2007 which was accepted and approved by the Bolivar County Board of Supervisors. Dr. Ray is the librarian/media specialist at the high school in the West Bolivar School District, Rosedale, MS. She is involved in research on stress in the "serving professions", i.e., public school teachers and librarians.
