MISSISSIPPI LIBRARY ASSOCIATION

Scholarship

Purpose: To administer the Peggy May/MLA Scholarship which is designed to provide financial assistance of at least $600 annually for the education of individuals who plan to be professional librarians, information specialists, or media specialists in academic, public, school or special libraries. The scholarship award will be made to a qualified current student or officially admitted new student enrolled in graduate course work in the School of Library and Information Science at The University of Southern Mississippi. Both full time and part time students are eligible. This scholarship is made possible by an endowment fund which is administered by the Mississippi Library Association and which is awarded annually on a competitive basis by the MLA Scholarship Committee.
